A Philosophical Question. . .

Should we be going after all bad lead generation services?  Interesting query.  In my scouring the net for House.com complaints, I have come across complaints about other lead generation services, and I have also heard the very general advice that these type of services are ALL a waste of time.  I’m no expert.  I have used 4 of them including House.com, and I believe that House.com deserves to be singled out for several reasons:

1)  the degree to which they suck I believe is unmatched by their competitors, as evidenced by the poor quality and dubious nature of their “leads;”

2) their aggressive billing practices; they add insult to injury by shortchanging you on the amount of bad leads that they give you but not forgetting to bill your credit card;

3) their poor “customer service” once you sign up; they act without the expectation or concern that you will ever use their product again;

4) once they have your credit card number you are dealing with Mr. Hyde, and no one has even heard of Dr. Jekyll at their company, he never worked there, and you only imagined him;

5) their strong arm tactics to induce people to pay including threats of collections; and finally

6) the intensity of the venom that past customers have for them is remarkable;

Do you have anything to add?  Disagree, i.e., are there other offenders of this caliber out there?

Sincerely,

 Number One Hater (housedotcomhater@live.com)
